Connect Turndown to your PMS
Your PMS knows who is arriving, who is leaving and who is staying on. Turndown reads that, so arrivals, departures and stayovers appear on the housekeeping board without anyone typing them in, and the Today screen can warn you when an arriving guest's room will not be ready. With Cloudbeds, Mews and Apaleo, Turndown also sends cleaning status back. For any other PMS, a CSV export does the job. We set up the connection for you during onboarding.
- CloudbedsReads rooms and reservations with guest names. Sends clean and dirty back to Cloudbeds.
- MewsReads rooms and reservations with guest names. Sends dirty, clean and inspected back to Mews.
- ApaleoReads units and reservations. Sends clean, clean to be inspected and dirty back to Apaleo.
- CSV from any PMSPaste or upload an arrivals and departures export. Nothing is written back.
What syncs, and what doesn't
| Connection | Turndown reads | Turndown sends back |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudbeds | Rooms, and reservations: arrivals, departures, stayovers and guest names | Clean and dirty. Inspected is sent as clean. |
| Mews | Rooms (resources), and reservations with guest names | Dirty, clean and inspected |
| Apaleo | Units, and reservations | Clean, clean to be inspected and dirty. Out of order is not sent. |
| CSV | Arrivals and departures from your export | Nothing |
What goes back to the PMS is cleaning status, within what each system accepts. Work orders, guest requests, logbook notes and asset records stay in Turndown. If a repair has to take a room off sale, block it in your PMS as well, so availability there stays right. The room board always shows when the last sync ran.
